In January 2012, the agricultural commodities production in Kazakhstan decreased by 4.7%, reported the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The general output of commodities (services) of agriculture in January 2012 totaled 60278.8 mln KZT (406.74 mln USD), including plant growing - 571.4 mln KZT (3.855 mln USD), services – 10.5 mln KZT (0.07 mln USD).
According to the Agency, as of February 1, 2012, the carry-over stocks of major grains in Kazakhstan totaled 18.98 mln tonnes, including wheat - 17.5 mln tonnes, barley - 955 thsd tonnes, rice - 113.9 thsd tonnes, oats – 138.9 thsd tonnes, rye - 19.3 thsd tonnes, maize - 36 thsd tonnes.
