To date the agrarian complex of Ukraine is the guarantee of the economical exuberance of the country. The industry development should be supported by stimulation and support of the rural areas. In order to realize the above stated trend, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine will provide the strategy of the rural areas development, stated Nikolai Prysiazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on February 17, 2012.

According to him, to date nearly 32% of the population of Ukraine live in the rural areas, and it is 14.5 mln people. The powerful agrarian segment is the feature and priority at the other countries, where the share of peasants is lower. The major task of the Government is the active development of the rural areas as the important element of the social and economical growth of the country. Any reforms of the agrarian industry should be supported by the reforms of the rural areas, stated N.Prysiazhnyuk.

The state conception of the development of the rural areas includes the complex of the programs for support and stimulation of agricultural production and improving of the living conditions in the rural areas. The Minister states it will allow to restore the rural areas.

The main task of the Government is to attract 3.5 mln ha of agricultural farmlands owned by the private enterprises into the system of provision of all the country with the food. Stimulation of individual farmers and farming enterprises, improvement of the living conditions in the rural areas and effective compliance of the land reform will allow to save and restore the rural areas and the powerful segment of the economics and the unique feature of the country, added the Head of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
