World agrimarket (14 November - 18 November, 2016)

  • ALGERIA: Traders: OAIC (state grains agency) bought around 200,000 t durum wheat from optional origins (likely from the US, Canada and Mexico), at $335-$345 c&f, Nov/Dec.
  • INDONESIA: Traders: a private mill recently secured 20,000 CRWS wheat from Canada, at $265-$270 c&f, for Feb shipment. Separately, a consortium of private millers purchased 25,000 t ASW wheat from Australia, at $210 c&f.
  • SOUTH KOREA: Traders: CJ Cheiljedang Corp. (local flour mill) purchased 50,800 t milling wheat from Australia, for Mar/Apr shipment, incl. 42,200 t ASW (10.3-11.0% protein) at $213 fob, 5,500 t hard wheat (min. 11.5%) at $223 fob, and 3,100 t APW (min. 10.5%) at $205 fob.
  • PHILIPPINES: Traders: group of local feed makers purchased around 155,000 t feed wheat from optional origins, for Feb/Mar arrival. Prices ranged from $188.00 c&f (if sourced from the EU or Black Sea region) to $202.50 c&f (if secured from Australia).
  • EGYPT: Traders: GASC purchased 240,000 t milling wheat for shipment, incl. 180,000 t from Russia, at $186.98-$189.87 fob, 60,000 t from the EU (Romania), at $191.19 fob.
